1. Launch the Supercut App
To start recording, click the Record button in the top navigation bar of your workspace.
A pop-up will appear asking to open the Supercut app. Click Open Supercut. (You can also check “Always allow” to skip this step next time.)
To record, you need the Supercut Mac app or the Chrome extension installed. (A Windows app is coming soon!)
2. Set Up Your Recording
Once the Supercut app launches, you’ll see your recording dashboard with several options:
Camera: Select your preferred camera, or disable it if you only want to record your screen.
Microphone: Choose your mic input or mute it entirely.
Screen: Decide what to capture—your full display, a specific window, a custom area, or just your camera with no screen.
Resolution: Click the gear icon in the bottom-right corner of your camera preview to choose recording quality (720p, 1080p, 2K, or 4K).
3. Customize Your Preferences
Click the three dots in the top-right corner to access advanced options:
Change the countdown timer before recording starts
Toggle mouse and keyboard tracking
Decide what happens after recording:
Auto-copy share link
Open recording in a new tab
Send notifications
You can also configure keyboard shortcuts for quick access to actions like starting, pausing, or selecting recording regions.
4. Adjust Advanced Settings
In the Advanced tab, you can define system-level preferences:
Start Supercut at login
Manage camera, mic, screen, and accessibility permissions
Review and update app permissions if needed
5. Hit Record!
Once everything is set, click Record to start capturing.
During your recording, you can:
Pause and resume anytime
Restart if you want a fresh start
Cancel if you need to stop without saving
When you’re done, click Stop Recording. Your Supercut will be automatically uploaded to your workspace—ready to watch, edit, or share instantly.
🎉 That’s it!
You’ve recorded your first Supercut. Ready to share your story, demo, or walkthrough with the world.
