Team structure

How to organize your company in Supercut with one workspace and multiple teams, so the right people see the right videos.

Written by Supercut

In Supercut, your workspace is your organization. We recommend keeping your whole company in one workspace and grouping people into teams inside it. That keeps everyone in one place while still controlling who sees what.

Your workspace is your organization

Think of your workspace as the org level, one workspace for your whole company.

  • Create a single workspace for your company.

  • Add all the employees who use Supercut to that workspace.

  • Keeping everyone in one workspace is better than creating a separate workspace per department.

Set up teams

Inside your workspace, group members into teams that match how your company is organized.

  • Create teams such as Marketing, Product, or Brand.

  • Add the relevant members to each team.

Don't see teams in your workspace? It can be enabled on request. Contact us and we'll turn it on for your workspace.

Create new Team, choose a name and add a description.

Add and Remove members of the workspace to each team.

A person can be part of multiple teams.

Control who sees each video

Teams give you control over who can watch each recording. When you share a video, you can:

  • Let everyone in the organization watch it.

  • Give access to a specific team only, so, for example, only Marketing sees marketing videos.

  • Turn off the org-wide default and share with a single team.

Why not separate workspaces per department? If you split teams into separate workspaces, one team can't see another team's videos unless you enable "anyone with the link", which also exposes the video to people outside your company. One workspace with teams avoids that.

Go further with Enterprise

On the Enterprise plan, you can create custom roles on top of teams for even more granular control. For example, give a Product role access to specific integrations or branding, and switch individual permissions on or off per role. Enterprise also adds SSO, PII detection, a custom contract, and priority support.

That's it!

One workspace, clear teams. Your whole company stays in one place, and each video reaches exactly the people it should.
