When an agent uses Supercut MCP to fetch a recording, transcript, audio file, or mouse and keyboard data, Supercut sends back a download link on play.supercut.ai. The agent then downloads the file from its sandbox.
Most AI sandboxes only allow a short list of domains by default, mostly package managers and GitHub. So the MCP call works, but the download is blocked, usually with a host_not_allowed error.
Only you or your admin can allow the domain. Supercut can't change your AI tool's network settings for you.
Not connected yet? Start with Model Context Protocol (MCP).
1. Add the Supercut domain
Whichever tool you use, the domain to allow is:
*.supercut.ai
Then follow the steps for your tool below.
2. Claude (Claude.ai and Claude Desktop)
Team and Enterprise
An organization owner makes this change for everyone:
Go to Organization settings > Capabilities > Code execution and file creation.
Choose Package managers and specific domains.
Add
*.supercut.ai.
On Enterprise, network access is off by default, so turn it on first.
Pro and Max
Go to Settings > Capabilities > Code execution and file creation.
Under Additional allowed domains, add
*.supercut.ai.
Free
The Free plan may not let you add domains, so downloads might not work there.
Start a new conversation after you change the setting. Existing chats don't pick it up.
More detail in Anthropic's guide: Create and edit files with Claude.
3. Cursor Cloud Agents
Open the Cloud Agents dashboard and go to Security.
Choose Default + allowlist.
Add
*.supercut.ai.
Any user can do this for themselves, and admins can set it for the whole team. See Cursor's network security docs.
4. Codex
Add *.supercut.ai to your environment's internet access allowlist. See OpenAI's cloud environments docs.
5. Test the download
In a new conversation, ask your agent to fetch something from a recording. For example:
Use the Supercut MCP to download the transcript of my latest recording
If you still see host_not_allowed, check the domain was saved and that you're in a new chat.
That's it!
Your agent can now download files from Supercut, not just read them. Pull recordings, transcripts and audio straight into your agent's workspace and work with them there.
