1. Start a recording

Open the ツSupercut Mac app and begin a new recording. The annotation tool is available during any screen or camera recording.

The annotation tool is currently in beta and requires macOS recorder v1.0.890 or later.

2. Open the annotation toolbar

Once your recording has started, tap the ツSupercut icon in the top-right corner of the recording view. This opens the annotation toolbar at the bottom of your screen.

3. Choose your color and pen size

The toolbar gives you several options to customise your annotations:

  • Pen colors: pick from seven different colours

  • Size slider: drag the slider to adjust the pen thickness

Select a color by tapping it. The active color is highlighted in the toolbar.

4. Draw on your screen

With a color selected, draw directly on your screen while recording. Your annotations appear in real time and are captured as part of the video.

Use annotations to circle key areas, underline text, or sketch arrows to guide your viewer's focus.

5. Undo or erase

Made a mistake? You have two options:

  • Undo: tap the undo button (curved arrow) to remove your last stroke

  • Eraser: select the eraser tool to clear specific annotations

Both controls are on the right side of the annotation toolbar.

That's it!

Annotations help you walk through what's on screen without needing to describe every detail verbally. Highlight key areas, draw attention to specific elements, and make your recordings easier to follow.
