How to share a video by link, set a thumbnail, and control who can view it.

1. Copy the share link

Click the link icon next to the Share button at the top right. The link copies automatically, and you'll see a preview in the popup.


2. Set permissions

Decide who can watch your video. Click Permissions or By Link in the drop-down menu. The panel has two sections.

The Permissions panel has two sections.

General access:

  • Anyone with link: public access. Anyone with the link can view the video.

  • People at [your workspace]: anyone who is part of the workspace can access the video. You can set their access level to view only or full access.

  • Password protected: requires a custom password to view. You can change the password at any time.

Specific access:

You can now share with specific people. Use the Find people search to add them directly.

You can add multiple people and set different access levels for each.

You can set any of your permissions as the default by clicking the star on the top-right side of the panel.


3. Customize your thumbnail

To change how your video looks when shared, open the Share menu and select By link.

Click Change thumbnail.

Use the slider to scrub through frames and find the right moment, then click Capture. Click the star above the download button to set that thumbnail as your default for future videos.


That's it! Copy your link, set your thumbnail, and choose who gets access.
