1. Open Video settings

Click the Customize tab at the top-right of your video, open the dropdown, and select Video Settings.

2. Video settings

Set the default playback speed, captions, and chapter bumpers for your video.

  • Playback speed — set a default speed, for example 1.2x or 1.5x, so viewers start at your preferred pace. They can always adjust it themselves.

  • Captions — enable to make captions active by default when viewers open your video. Viewers can still toggle them on or off.

  • Chapter bumpers — a short animation that shows the chapter title between sections. Turn this off if you prefer a cleaner transition.

Click the star icon next to any setting to save it as your default for future videos.

3. Audio settings

Choose how your audio is processed:

  • Unprocessed — keeps your original audio. You can revert to this at any time.

  • Balance Volume — evens out quiet and loud parts.

  • Remove Noise — includes volume balancing and removes background noise.

You can also mix in system sound if you enabled it in your recording app. System sound works with any of the three audio modes. Learn more in System Sound.

4. Conversation settings

Comments and reactions are enabled by default on all videos. Turn them off here if you're embedding a video externally or want to prevent viewer interaction.

5. Language settings

ツSupercut automatically detects your video's language. Change the transcription language here, or set a default so all future videos use the same one.

You can also update the language anytime in the Defaults panel.

6. Delete your video

Scroll to the Danger Zone at the bottom of the menu. Click Delete this ツSupercut and confirm.

Settings save automatically. Set your preferences once, star them as defaults, and they'll carry over to every new recording.
