Viewer downloads

Turn on Viewer downloads, so the people you share a Supercut with can save a copy of the video.

Written by Cate

By default, only you and your team can download a Supercut. Turn on Viewer downloads and anyone with the link gets a Download button on the video.

1. Open Settings

Open your Supercut, click Customize at the top right and choose Settings.

  • Customize → Settings

  • Anyone who can edit the video can change this setting

2. Enable Viewer downloads

In the Video section, switch on Viewer downloads. A Viewers can download message confirms it's on.

  • Toggle Viewer downloads on

  • Click the star next to it to make it your default for future videos

3. Share the link

Copy the link and send it as usual. Nothing changes in how you share.

  • Click the link icon next to Share to copy it

  • If the video is embedded, the button opens the share page

4. Viewers click Download

Viewers see a Download button at the top right of the video.

The download option will also be available in the embedded videos.

5. Viewers sign in

Before the download starts, viewers are asked to sign in to Supercut.

  • Sign in with Google, Email or SSO

  • No account yet? Sign up for free

6. The video downloads

A Preparing your video message shows while the file is created. Once it's saved, viewers see Video downloaded.

Good to know: the downloaded file is a plain video. Chapters, summaries, Ask the AI, comments, reactions and playback speed stay on the Supercut page. To download your own videos, see Download.

That's it!

Viewers can keep a copy of your video for later, watch it offline or share it inside their own tools. Turn it off anytime in Settings.
