The teleprompter lets you read notes or a script while you record in the Supercut desktop app. You can type or paste your text, add section titles, control scroll speed and text size, and jump between sections.
⚠️ Teleprompter has just been released as a beta feature. If you don’t see it among your options, you’ll need to enable Beta Updates in the app.
Go to the Supercut App Settings and enable Get beta updates.
1. Open the teleprompter
You can open it in either of these ways:
Menu bar: click the Supercut icon in your menu bar (Mac) or system tray, then choose Teleprompter
Recording widget: open the three-dot menu (…) on the camera / recording preview, then choose Teleprompter
2. Add your script
In the teleprompter window, type your notes or paste text from somewhere else.
To create a title (section heading), start a line with #. Titles help you organize longer scripts and jump between parts later.
3. Set scroll time and text size
Use the teleprompter controls to:
Set how long the script takes to scroll (scroll time)
Adjust the text size so it’s comfortable to read while you look at the camera
4. Jump between sections
If your script has titles (lines that start with #), use the arrows to move to the previous or next section without scrolling through everything by hand.
Tips
Keep sections short so you can jump to the right part mid-recording
Increase text size if you’re farther from the screen; slow the scroll if you speak at a measured pace
