Password protection adds an extra layer of control on top of your other sharing settings, so only people with the password can watch your video.
Open the Share panel
Open the video you want to protect, then click the dropdown next to the Share button at the top right. The Share panel shows all sharing and permission options for your recording.
Turn on password protection
In the Permissions panel, turn on Password protected and enter a custom password.
This sits on top of your general access setting (Anyone with link, your workspace, or specific access).
Viewers see a password page when they open the link, and enter the password to watch.
Share the password separately
The password is not part of the share link. Send it to your viewers separately, for example in a message or email.
This is a common mix-up: adding a password does not embed it in the link. Anyone you want to watch needs both the link and the password.
Change or revoke access
Change the password at any time from the Share panel. Updating it revokes access for anyone who still has the old one, so you stay in control even after sharing.
That's it!
Password protection keeps your video private to the people you choose. Want a shared link to stop working after a set date? See Link expiration.
